Havasupai Falls

    So we hiked Havasupai Falls this week. It was a grueling 12+mile hike through the desert, switchbacks that lead down to canyons with gorgeous colors and shade, then after about 5 hours you enter a small Native American village of 300 people and pass through to the Navajo Falls, which lead to the Havasu Falls, then you can set up camp, and hike to the biggest of the Falls, called Mooney. You can continue down sheer cliffs to Beavers Falls and even hike an additional 10miles to the Colorado River.

    We swam in Mooney Falls and got as close to the water fall as the current would allow. The cold water felt amazing after the long day of hiking, and the aqua blue water against the red desert scape was breath taking. The 2nd day we decided to head down to Beaver Falls and found a hidden cove that we had to our selfs! It was so beautiful and a great way to see the Grand Canyon. This hike is not for beginners or the inexperienced though* training is required, and well worth it *
